Choose one area with visual range.
A neighborhood can hold a café, a quiet street, evening light, and a small view within walking distance. That range is more useful than trying to collect the Golden Gate Bridge, City Hall, and the coast in one rushed session.

Plan the activity before the outfit.
Walking a dog, cooking at home, taking the ferry, visiting a bar, or exploring a trail gives the photographs a natural rhythm. Clothing can then support the weather and movement instead of determining the entire session.
Use landmarks with restraint.
A recognizable San Francisco frame can establish place, but repeating a standard composition for an hour makes the session interchangeable. Make the landmark one chapter and let closer photographs carry the relationship.

Keep a fog, wind, and crowd alternative.
The same spot can change quickly. A nearby sheltered street, grove, home, or interior lets the session continue without treating ordinary San Francisco weather as a failure.
