Normalize the scope before comparing price.
List coverage hours, number of photographers, travel, rehearsal or welcome coverage, film, albums, engagement sessions, taxes, and likely overtime. A lower package can become more expensive once the pieces needed for the actual day are added.

Understand who is included.
A second photographer is not interchangeable with an associate lead, assistant, or content creator. Confirm names or selection process, experience, responsibilities, image ownership, and whether the work is edited into one coherent gallery.
Value the process you will use.
Planning calls, timeline review, vendor coordination, family-list guidance, location experience, and accessibility can change the wedding more than a small difference in image count. Consider whether the support fits how much help you want.

Read the difficult clauses.
Cancellation, postponement, illness, force majeure, meal breaks, travel, overtime, delivery, archive length, copyright, privacy, and replacement coverage deserve attention before the exciting details. Ask questions until the practical meaning is clear.
