Engagement sessions without awkward posing — see the work

San Francisco wedding photographers · Film + digital

No awkward posing. Just real moments, beautifully captured.

We are Helena and Laurent, San Francisco and Bay Area wedding photographers based in Marin. We photograph on film and digital, focusing on real moments as they unfold—no scripts and no need to perform. We give clear direction when it helps, then make room for you to be fully present and for the photographs to reflect that honestly and beautifully.

A standard for the work

A few photographs we still measure ourselves against.

Not because they look alike. Because each one holds the thing we are always after: the atmosphere of the place, the people inside it, and a moment that could never happen the same way twice.

Best of the best

The photographs make a different kind of sense in motion.

A few minutes from years of weddings—quiet beginnings, portraits, ceremonies, weather, crowded rooms, and the point when everyone lets go of the plan.

Weddings, from the inside

Be in the day. We will hold onto what happened.

Full wedding weekends, an afternoon together, or a ceremony with only your closest people—the scale changes, but the promise does not. Clear help when it matters. No awkward performance. A complete set of photographs with atmosphere, relationships, and room for surprise.

A major part of our work

San Francisco City Hall, photographed with care.

We know the building, the timing, the light, and the practical details. More importantly, we know how to make a City Hall wedding feel personal rather than rushed.

Family + maternity

Photographs of the life you are already living.

Family work is a substantial part of the studio. Sessions can happen at home, on the coast, in the redwoods, or somewhere that is already part of your family’s life.

We begin with the family’s rhythms, then choose the place and time that leave room for them.

Film + digital

Two mediums. One complete story.

Film brings texture, patience, and a physical sense of the moment. Digital brings speed, range, and flexibility. We use both for what each does best, without asking the day to slow down for the cameras. Your attention stays with each other; the photographs keep up.

The photographs leave the screen

Pictures become different when you can hold them.

The digital gallery is the memory bank: complete, searchable, easy to share, and easy to copy. Prints and albums become the heirlooms—objects with a place, a surface, fingerprints, and family history.

Every private gallery includes the full-resolution photographs and a built-in print shop. We can also design a Vision Art wedding album in full-grain leather with gold embossing and panoramic lay-flat pages—work made to be handled, not only scrolled past.

Natural photographs with depth
