The story
This San Francisco wedding began at the Mark Hopkins, moved through Clarion Alley, and brought 105 people into Foreign Cinema for a courtyard ceremony, dinner under the lights, and a dance floor that kept changing shape.

The Mission became the transition.
After getting ready at the Mark Hopkins, the couple met in the city and photographed around Clarion Alley before walking into Foreign Cinema. The portraits belonged to the route rather than becoming a separate destination shoot.

The plan gave every part of the day somewhere to happen. The photographs held onto everything that refused to follow the plan.

San Francisco
One restaurant held several different rooms.
The courtyard carried the ceremony and dinner. The Gallery held cocktails and later became the dance floor. That movement gave the wedding distinct chapters without asking guests to leave the venue.

Why this story matters
A clear timeline protected the candid photographs.
The ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, toasts, second dress, and dancing all had structure. Once those transitions were handled, the story could stay focused on the reactions, reunions, and unscripted energy the couple cared about most.

Plan from a real story
Planning a wedding across San Francisco?
This day moved from the Mark Hopkins to Clarion Alley and Foreign Cinema. For a wedding with several locations, begin with the route: allow time between stops, keep portraits close to where you are already going, and decide where guests will be during each transition. At Foreign Cinema, the courtyard and Gallery gave the ceremony, dinner, cocktails, and dancing their own chapters without another journey across the city. The guides below can help you build that kind of breathing room into your own plan.
