Ask for the included service area.
Studios define local travel differently. Clarify mileage, bridge tolls, parking, ferries, and whether a remote venue requires lodging even when it falls inside a broad Bay Area label.

Separate estimated costs from fixed fees.
Some proposals include a flat travel amount; others pass through actual airfare, hotel, rental car, or parking. Know which expenses can change and whether approval is required before booking them.
Plan arrival around the consequence of delay.
A same-day flight or long drive can put the wedding at risk. For destination or remote events, ask when the team arrives and how lodging, backup routes, and equipment transport reduce that risk.

Include every event that creates another travel day.
A rehearsal dinner, welcome party, sunrise ceremony, or day-after session may require additional lodging and transportation even when coverage is short. Compare the complete itinerary rather than the wedding-day line alone.
