A maternity session can be quiet, intimate, funny, physical, and connected to home or landscape without becoming a performance built around poses.

No awkward posing. No script for how the day should feel. We make the plan and solve the photography so you can stay with the people who make you forget about the camera.

01

Family photography

Sessions at home and outside, built around the life already happening.

02

Planning help

Locations, timing, children, weather, and a session that can flex.

03

How we finish photographs

Believable skin, dimensional light, and color made to hold up in print.

04

Ask about a session

Start with the people, season, and loose version of what you are imagining.

01

Comfort controls the plan.

Location, walking distance, temperature, clothing, timing, and breaks are chosen around how the pregnant person actually feels that week.

02

Partners and children belong naturally.

A session can hold the existing family as it is becoming something new, with simple prompts that create connection without forcing sentiment.

03

Skin and color deserve careful finishing.

Editing protects believable light, dimensional skin, texture, and mood so the photographs feel considered enough to print without looking filtered.

What local experience changes

Maternity photographs can feel intimate without turning pregnancy into a costume.

The most useful maternity session begins with the person, relationship, and season of life—not a list of conventional poses. Home, a quiet Marin landscape, familiar San Francisco streets, or a simple room can hold the physical reality and anticipation of pregnancy without requiring anyone to act reverent for the camera.

01

Schedule for comfort as carefully as light.

The common late-second- or early-third-trimester window is only a starting point. Energy, mobility, medical considerations, weather, older children, and the desired amount of visible change matter more than matching a universal week on a calendar.

02

Clothing should support movement and recognition.

Choose something that feels physically good and still looks like the person wearing it. Shape, texture, bare skin, ordinary clothes, or a more intentional piece can all work; the session does not need several outfit changes to show range.

03

Partners, children, pets, and home add emotional information.

Pregnancy changes an existing life. Including the people and rooms around it can make the photographs about expectation, care, humor, and family structure rather than only the outline of a body.

Questions couples ask

Enough context to make the next decision.

When should we schedule maternity photographs?

Many sessions happen between roughly 28 and 34 weeks, but there is no required window. We choose a date around comfort, health, travel, season, and how the person wants pregnancy to appear and feel in the photographs.

Can the session happen at home?

Yes. Home offers privacy, familiar clothes, rest, and the rooms already changing for a baby. Window light and ordinary routines can make the photographs more personal than a location chosen only for a view.

Can this include older children?

Absolutely. We keep their part active and concise, then photograph smaller relationships and quieter maternity frames without expecting children to stay engaged for the entire session.
