What the photographs need
The property offers shelter and small domestic details alongside enormous coastal scale, so the story can move between people, place, and weather without becoming a portrait tour.

Before signing
Trace the route from arrival through the ceremony, cocktails, dinner, and the end of the night. At Big Sur Stone House, the useful question is not simply whether each space looks good on its own, but whether people can move between them without long waits, unclear directions, lost belongings, or a transportation problem. The character of the place—a private coastal property where the house, gardens, forest paths, and ocean horizon can hold an intimate destination wedding in one place.—should remain part of the experience once the rooms are full.
Ask the current venue team about capacity by layout, sound and end times, rain or heat alternatives, accessibility, vendor access, parking or shuttles, power, rentals, and which spaces are included. Then walk the photography plan through the same route. InBig Sur · Monterey County, available light and travel can change quickly; a strong plan protects the gathering first and uses the setting without turning the wedding into a tour of it.
A complete story at Big Sur Stone House
the couple had an intimate wedding on at Big Sur Stone House in Big Sur, California. When it came to their wedding, just as in life, they were one of those blessed couples who don't have to try to think outside of the box -- for them there is no box. With the exception of the food and photography, and with lots of help from friends and family, the whole wedding was DIY. The olive green wedding dress, floral shawl, and crown, that the other partner made herself, complimented the magic of the California Coast perfectly.
