The story
Kate and Micah got ready in San Francisco, married inside the warm wood and glass of Sunnyside Conservatory, made portraits above the city on digital and medium-format film, and finished the night with a crowded party at Bottom of the Hill.

The photographs begin before the venue.
The first part of the story stays close to the apartments where everyone got ready: handwritten notes, rings, friends helping, and the separate rhythms of the morning. Sunnyside Conservatory then gives the ceremony a clear change of place without losing that intimacy.

The film changes the texture, but not the thread: home, ceremony, the city opening below them, and a very loud room at the end of the night.

San Francisco
Film belongs inside the sequence.
Black-and-white Ilford holds the quieter preparation. Portra carries the hillside portraits in open afternoon light. Ektar appears after dark at Bottom of the Hill. The film photographs are interwoven with the digital work in the order the day happened.

Inside Sunnyside Conservatory
The ceremony stayed close to the people in the room: the procession, vows, reactions, and the few minutes outside immediately afterward.

Film above the city
Medium-format film joins the digital sequence here. Portra holds the open hillside light; the story then moves into the darker color of Bottom of the Hill.

Why this story matters
Two very different rooms make one complete wedding.
Sunnyside Conservatory is bright, close, and architectural; Bottom of the Hill is dark, colorful, and built for a party. Keeping the transitions, guests, portraits, cake, and dance floor together shows the full range of the wedding instead of reducing it to a few venue photographs.
