The story
Despite growing up in the same town the couple never met while they still lived at home. They didn't actually connect until they left for different schools, started their careers, and moved back to Bend, Oregon years later. Once they finally started dating one thing was perfectly clear, it felt like home. So three years later they made it official; flew down, hired a vintage car to drive them around, and eloped in San Francisco City Hall.

The complete sequence
A real story needs the parts between the portraits.
This city hall elopement in San Francisco City Hall is shown as a sequence: the people arriving, the setting taking shape, the ceremony, the reactions around it, and the way the celebration changed afterward. The photographs stay together so the day reads as more than a short highlight reel.

The car connected the chapters
Transportation became part of the City Hall story rather than dead time.
A vintage car gave this San Francisco City Hall elopement personality and a practical route through the city. Arrival, departure, getting in and out, waiting at lights, and watching the streets pass created photographs between the official ceremony and the next place without inventing another posed activity.
The strongest use of a distinctive vehicle is not parking it in front of every landmark. It should move people, reveal the city, and support the pace of the day. Here it became a visual thread that kept civic architecture, portraits, and the couple’s private experience connected.
