The story
The ranch worked like a summer camp: cabins, a Victorian farmhouse, redwoods, creekside spaces, and everyone staying within the same landscape.
SSS Ranch
A property with several small worlds.
The Grand Victorian, cabins, redwoods, creek, and open ranch spaces gave the day range without requiring transportation. Each part of the story had a distinct setting but remained connected.

Everything happened on-site, so the wedding felt like a place people inhabited rather than visited.

Calistoga, California
A ceremony under a living landmark.
Everyone gathered beneath one of the property’s large trees. Shade, scale, and the natural curve of the space did more for the ceremony than a heavily constructed backdrop would have.

The day in full
A love story needs more than its headline moments.
The property centers around a historic ranch with cabins, redwoods, creekside spaces, and a restored Victorian farmhouse. It feels more like a summer camp than a traditional wedding venue, with everything spread out across the landscape.
Everything happened on-site. Anna got ready in the Grand Victorian while Nick stayed in one of the cabins, with guests spread throughout the property.
The ceremony took place beneath a massive tree on the property, with everyone gathered in the shade of it.
Afterward, cocktail hour moved outdoors, with people gathering between the trees and open spaces around the ranch.
Dinner took place on an outdoor patio, and as the night picked up, everything shifted indoors into one of the barns on the property, an eclectic space that carried the energy of the party through the rest of the night.
With no transitions between locations off-site, the day carried straight through from one part to the next, shaped by the setting rather than a schedule.
Why this story matters
On-site lodging changes the weekend.
When guests stay on the property, the story begins before the ceremony and continues after the formal schedule. That extra time produces a different kind of closeness in both experience and photographs.
