The story
the couple had an intimate wedding on at Big Sur Stone House in Big Sur, California. When it came to their wedding, just as in life, they were one of those blessed couples who don't have to try to think outside of the box -- for them there is no box. With the exception of the food and photography, and with lots of help from friends and family, the whole wedding was DIY. The olive green wedding dress, floral shawl, and crown, that the other partner made herself, complimented the magic of the California Coast perfectly.

The complete sequence
A real story needs the parts between the portraits.
This wedding story in Big Sur · California Coast is shown as a sequence: the people arriving, the setting taking shape, the ceremony, the reactions around it, and the way the celebration changed afterward. The photographs stay together so the day reads as more than a short highlight reel.

A remote coast in practice
Big Sur’s scale mattered because the wedding stayed human inside it.
The Stone House and surrounding coast brought wind, exposure, long views, and the particular isolation that makes Big Sur compelling. The plan had to respect access and weather while keeping the ceremony and gathering from feeling tiny or scattered across the landscape.
The finished sequence moves between place and proximity: wider photographs explain where everyone was, while closer frames carry touch, reactions, clothing, food, and the changing energy of the celebration. Both are necessary for a remote outdoor wedding to read as a lived day rather than a scenic editorial.
