The story
the couple’s Bolinas wedding had all our favorite things: creative DIY elements, interesting guests, a relaxed pace, beautiful soft light, lot’s of smiles, and a couple magical white horses. Crazy to think we almost weren’t there. When they first contacted us we were already booked and so that was that. But one partner couldn’t shake this feeling of regret and, several weeks later, they actually changed their date, in order to work with us. “Wow!”, we thought, “what a crazy honor.” We sent out a contract right away because, for whatever reason, we had trust in one partner’s vision – and what an amazing vision she had.

The complete sequence
A real story needs the parts between the portraits.
This wedding story in West Marin is shown as a sequence: the people arriving, the setting taking shape, the ceremony, the reactions around it, and the way the celebration changed afterward. The photographs stay together so the day reads as more than a short highlight reel.

Reading the complete day
Bolinas was atmosphere, but the gathering made it a wedding.
The outdoor setting matters because people kept inhabiting it: arriving, building the ceremony, eating, talking, moving between sun and shade, and staying into the less orderly second half of the day. Those transitions keep this story from reading as a portrait session in a beautiful place.
The gallery holds the ceremony, family, clothing, tables, reactions, and celebration together so the creative details have emotional context. The strongest frames are not isolated decorations; they show what happened around them and why this particular Bolinas wedding felt handmade rather than styled from a distance.
