The story
We love any opportunity to travel so we are so grateful to the couple for inviting us out to rural Virginia to shoot their wedding. These two were high school sweethearts so, when they decided to get married, their hometown was the natural choice.

In their own place
What made this one specific.
The girls got ready in the house one partner grew up in. Mom made them the same breakfast they'd eaten many times before. On the doorframe to one partner’s bedroom there were lines with dates running up the frame, written in different pens over the years, and marking her height as she grew up. There is something magical about a house with that much history.
They looked amazing and perfectly styled for their church ceremony: the other partner in his navy blue suit and one partner in a stunning gown paired with a floor-length lace veil that trailed her as she walked. The whole scene was beautiful and reminiscent of another era and it was hard to not get emotional as we took photos.
Ceremony Venue: Trinity Episcopal Church |Dress: Mira Zwillinger | Suit: custom | Food: John Feist | DJ: Michael Bell at MyDeejay | Decorations & Design: Jennifer Buracker at Cassel Interiors | Officiant: Reverend Robert L. Banse, Jr.

The complete sequence
A real story needs the parts between the portraits.
This wedding story in Virginia is shown as a sequence: the people arriving, the setting taking shape, the ceremony, the reactions around it, and the way the celebration changed afterward. The photographs stay together so the day reads as more than a short highlight reel.
