The story
the couple didn’t build their wedding around a tight schedule. From the start, the focus was on bringing people together and giving the day space to unfold.

In their own place
What made this one specific.
Their wedding took place at Bear Flag Farm in Winters, California, with the entire day centered on the property.
one partner got ready on-site, which meant there was no break in the flow of the day. No travel between locations, no reset. Just a steady progression from the quieter parts of the morning into the ceremony.
The ceremony brought together around 80 guests in a setting that felt full without being crowded.
Afterward, there wasn’t a heavy transition into a rigid sequence of events. People stayed in place, moved through the space, found each other, and settled into conversations that didn’t need to be interrupted for the next scheduled moment.
The details followed the same approach. Oysters from Hog Island, a dance floor that built naturally as the night went on, and just enough structure to keep things moving without redirecting attention away from what was already happening.
the couple were also clear about how they wanted to be photographed. They didn’t want to feel stiff or overly directed, but they also didn’t want to be left guessing. The goal was to keep things natural while still having enough guidance to avoid that in-between awkwardness that shows up when there’s no direction at all.
By the end of the night, the day reflected exactly what they set out to do. It felt less like a structured event and more like a gathering that happened to include a wedding.
